4th Annual WA Major Projects Conference 2013
16-17 April 2013 - Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, WA
'Delivering WA’s growth and renewal'
The 4th Annual Western Australia Major Projects Conference, will be held on the 16th - 17th of April, 2013 at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre. This event continues to be the largest major projects and infrastructure conference in the state, attracting over 350 delegates annually. Western Australia is entering an exciting new chapter of growth with strong business investment and resource exports that has ensured the state economy continues to outperform the rest of Australia, further contributing to some of the lowest unemployment rates in the country.
The opportunity for Western Australia to realise it’s ambitions and build an even greater vibrant sustainable and prosperous State for all has arrived. Embarking on such a journey does come with many challenges, the need to build better roads, rail and port infrastructure to service the thriving resources sector is equally matched by the increasing demands for more housing, health, energy, water and transport services. Recent figures reveal three million people will live in Western Australia by 2026 close to half a million more than previously predicted.
Competing labour forces paired with skill shortages, high construction costs and shrinking project funding require a multilateral approach to ensure resource, urban, rural and regional developments are delivered.
At the WA Major Projects Conference you will hear from a diverse field of high profile speakers from both the Public and Private sectors who will deliver an informative and exciting program which will discuss the planning and delivery of critical infrastructure in Western Australia.
