Hillman Primary School has received a fresh and modern administration building, new car park and edible native garden thanks to a $1.5 million investment by the WA State Government.
Students and their families will now be immediately welcomed by a modern, bright foyer and reception area.
Premier Mark McGowan was on hand to open the new facilities, praising the benefits that they will bring.
"The attractive new building has updated the whole look of Hillman Primary School. The first-class facilities have given staff new spaces so they can continue with the smooth running of all aspects of the school.
"Staff can continue successful initiatives such as school-based therapy services, a student-mentor program and chaplaincy program in the new interview room and staff offices.
"Inspired by the six Noongar seasons, an edible native garden has been planted in front of the new buildings.
"The garden supports the school's aim to provide creative and interesting learning opportunities for all students."
The upgrades also include a medical room, new staff offices and an interview room, providing staff with spaces to meet with parents and students.
