The Water Corporation is investing $1.3 million to extend 1.6 kilometres of wastewater pipe in Guildford.
Minister for Water, Mia Davies, said the works form part of an on-going plan to improvement water services within the state.
"About 1.6 kilometres of wastewater pipes along Meadow, Victoria and Swan streets will be refurbished over the next two months," Davies said.
"Residents may notice an increase in activity along the pipeline route, however traffic management will be in place at all times and disruption will be kept to a minimum."
The project is expected to extend the life of the pipes by at least 50 years, using trenchless technology to reduce community impact.
Trenchless technology avoids the need for extensive excavation to access the wastewater pipes, providing minimal disruption.
"I want to thank the residents in advance for their patience while the corporation carries out this work," she said.
The corporation manages more than 16,000km of wastewater mains across WA.
